Amazing from start to finish. First of all, some of the reviewers mentioned it is not easy to find the property - I strongly disagree. If you follow the instruction given by the host through Booking.com (after you receive the confirmation), you will find it easily as it is explained into detail. The room is clean, spacious, bright, functional, the staff is helpful, and everything is easy to reach - the majority of landmarks are within walking distance, 20 to 25 mins. Also, we should agree that The Guest House is not the same as a 4* hotel, so our expectations must be based on what we booked. Still, I was surprised to find some of the in - room amenities I wasn't expecting, such as the luggage rack, hair dryer, hangers etc. All in all, really comfortable accommodation for a short stay, if you don't require a range of facilities and extra services. Thank you La Locanda, we will consider you if coming back to Rome!

I was very impressed. The room was spacious, quiet, clean etc. Nice helpful staff. Good air conditioning. Shower was nice (need to leave the water to run quite a while to get hot water). There is a TV but just Italian channels. Good internet though. I’ve included info about what you see from the outside as that confused me after the taxi dropped me off. The hotel is on one floor in a residential building. I gather common in Rome. So there is no external sign. You need to press the buzzer than walk or get the lift to the first floor. Then there is a nice reception area. The location is excellent. There is a little mini supermarket a few minutes away and a metro stop is very close. I’d certainly go back and recommend it to others.

Excellent location, at a walking distance from the Vatican (around 15-20 minutes) and Piazza del Popolo (5 - 7 minutes) from which you get to Via Del Corso, as well as Spanish Stairs, fountain the Trevi. We also walked to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Navona square. It is certainly worth walking around Rome rather than taking public transport or taxis. The room was clean and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. There is Carrefour Express maybe 3 minutes away and Metro 5 minutes away and a Gourmet market in the close proximity to it and also a couple of restaurants right around the corner and i believe there should be more if you explore further.

Simple but excellent accommodation. Others had warned about "thin walls," but that was not our experience. Comfortable beds. The balcony was a pleasant spot to have a cup of coffee (though there was some construction noise—not noticeable from inside the room). Fresh towels and bed make-up each day was a nice touch. We loved the location, very near the Metro and an easy walk into the heart of Rome, but tucked enough away to not be too crowded. Being near Villa Borghese was a bonus. Lots of cafes, restaurants and markets nearby.

Location is fantastic: 4 min walk to the metro station, 5 min to the Piazza del Popolo, from which 3 streets take you to different touristic locations, Spanish steps are 1km away. There are grocery shops and good food spots around. Check out Pastasciutta for good pasta, big portions, and nice price. The room was good. Big bed with a nice matras. There was no kettle with cups, but upon the request, they were provided. The room was cleaned , trash taken out every day, towels were changed once during four nights stay.
